Dr. Christoph von Mettenheim is a barrister for the German Federal Supreme Court. The admission to the Federal Supreme Court in Civil matters is, contrary to any other German court, limited in number, and therefore a considerable honour. At present there are only 29 lawyers holding this admission. Dr. von Mettenheim has published a number of books on legal theory, including Law and Rationality (1984), which applies Popper's theory to the solution of legal problems.
