Curt Masters

My exposure to Popper has been brief and limited, amounting to a number of references by Dr. Haack at a grad. level course at the University of Miami dealing with empiricism, and a transcript by a Bryan Magee of a radio interview with Karl Popper (Modern British Philosophy, 1971). I will have to read more just to ask good questions, but did he ever pursue the question of language and the consciousness of self? This idea seems to require a strong reliance on experience, as language seems to require interaction to develop.

I am a high school principal in the Miami, Florida area, working on a PhD in education, with philosophy as a supporting field. (I would compare this to learning to swim in the deep end of the pool, as I am a beginner among serious enthusiasts.) It has been very useful and stimulating so far. I look forward to hearing more from you.
